Sizing Dogs for Clothes 

Not all dog clothing is made the same. Just like clothing for you, different manufacturers size their clothes different. While your dog may be a small in shirt A, she may be a medium in shirt B. To save yourself on shipping costs if the item you bought doesn't fit it is best to measure your dog before making a purchase. The three most important measurements are the neck size, the girth, and the length.

If you measure these three areas and match them up to the sizes you should get a good fitting dog dress every time. If your dog is between two sizes I would suggest getting the bigger size as you don't want an item to be too small.

Aging in Dogs

Most people believe that it 7 dog years for 1 human year. Recent scientific research has shown that this is no longer true. Dogs of different breeds and sizes age at different rates. A great way to help dogs as they age is to get them a heated dog bed. This will help with the pain their joints and help relax their muscles.

How to measure a designer dog bed for your dog.

Most dogs will readily accept a new bed as dogs prefer having a place they can call their own. Having their own bed allows them a place to go if they are tired, stressed, or just want to sleep. Since dogs love their own bed, finding one that is the correct size is critical.

The best way to measure your dog for a designer dog bed is to start with your dog laying down. Then measure your dog's body length from the base of the tail to the tip of their nose. After you have this measurement, add a minimum of 9"-12". For bolster or cuddler style beds, add a minimum of 4"-6".
