During Hanukkah it is best to include your dog as part of the family and as such, give them great gifts during the celebration. Small toys can be given each day such as dog treats, biscuits, scarves, hats, or toys for the family such as photos of the dog or keychains. Some other great Hanukkah dog gifts include a multi-textured bone to play with full of soft ends and rough centers braided with rawhide. Your dog can play with this in the garden or in the house and then fall asleep on the ends during the evening. If you are training a puppy or new dog, there are tug-a-jug toys which are made from plastic containers with a hole on top. Your dog can smell the treats inside and keep them pawing to get them. It will teach your dog patients and determination as they try to open the can. Fun doggy dumbbells are great for shaking, tossing, and perfect for dogs who enjoy the noises it makes as they move it with their paws or nose. If you need to stay indoors or in a small apartment, plush balls are perfect for kicking and throwing around without worry of breaking anything. If your dog enjoys chewing on your shoes, give them squeaky toys shaped like tennis shoes or work boots instead. There are cotton laces on them to keep them interesting and the rest is made from vinyl. In lieu of regular tennis balls with their bright green color, you can select from a variety of neon sports balls with an assortment of colors.
