Well, as much as I wouldn't say there's a true theme to this weeks products, spring is in the air (well, based on the products, the view outside my window disagrees). Hummingbird feeders were a big product for me this week, as well as items for the various upcoming holidays such as Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter.
First up is the Hummzinger Highview Mini Hummingbird Feeder. To preface, I knew absolutely nothing about hummingbird feeders before this week. My grandmothers would know, but visits to them were and, sadly, are still infrequent due to travel time. So, it was a week of learning for me. This feeder I though was really clever because of the highview feeding perch. All it means is that the perch is slightly elevated above the feeder as opposed to being either level or lower than the feeding ports. Since hummingbirds usually hover above flowers as they sip, this is more comfortable for them, and allows you to see even the birds on the far side of the feeder as they use it. Clever design where everyone wins.

Next I'll switch to a holiday toy before talking about another feeder. This one is just a cute rope toy shaped like a carrot -complete with green rope carrot tops. Rope toys are supposed to not only be fun for dogs, but the fibers work like floss and so they add to your pup's dental health as well. And actual carrots are healthy. So it's a healthy toy modeled on a healthy food. That, and Easter bunny plus carrots, this totally belongs in your dog's Easter basket. You should also buy a dog bunny costume, because the only thing anyone's actually thinking when they see these is "Eh, what's up doc?"

Last is another feeder. This one has more of a decorative bent. Made out of hardened glass, it has a lovely hummingbird design etched into each side of the feeder. Like most hummingbird feeders it also has ant and bee-guards (something I never thought about for hummingbird feeders, but considering they're filled with essentially sugar water, makes a lot of sense to include). Not only is the glass pretty, but in my experience (and based on the people talking about the feeder in the comments) glass is easier to clean than the more common plastic. Again, when you're dealing with sugary substances, it's not something you think about until you have to deal with it, but it's a huge bonus.
