Bri's Weekly Top Three from 2.3.17

Last catch-up post and I'm on to the recent stuff, but stick around because summer was the theme this week, and thinking about it makes the winter cold just a little more bearable. Especially when you get to think of days at the beach.
Puppe Love brings the essence of summer days at the beach to your pet with the always-classic Hawaiian Board Shorts look. In the bright colors of pink, green, orange, and blue, your pet would stand out in a crowd (even with all four paws on the ground). They're cute, funny, and make me wish summer would be here sooner.

Cute as shorts are, nothing really tops safety in the water. If you're going for long boating trips, your dog isn't the strongest swimmer, or if you're like me and just always want to run on the side of caution, a life jacket for your dog is a necessity. Guardian gear makes an aquatic life-preserver that seems like the whole package to me: two layers of flotation material, non-restrictive straps with quickl-lock clips, bright colors for visibility, and even a handle if your dog is having trouble making it out of the water and onto the boat. Plus they have such a wide range of sizes available it'd be hard to believe they don't have something to fit every dog. I'm a fan of safety and it seems like a safe bet.

Did you know that dogs need protection from UV rays too? It never really occurred to me until I started working with Doggles. They're sunglasses for dogs that provide 100% UV protection. In particular I worked with the Interchangeable Lens System or (ILS) Doggles, where you can swap out the lenses if you want or need to. That sounds like an awesome feature. They fit more like goggles than sunglasses (I mean, lets be fair, if they fit like sunglasses they'd fall off by the time you reached for the camera to take a picture), with adjustable elastic head and chin straps. Plus they have fun designs, everything from chrome and metallics to racing flames to pink zebra stripes. Still not 100% sold on the idea of dogs needing UV protection, but it sounds reasonable and couldn't hurt. Plus, think of all the photo opportunities!
