Bri's Weekly Top Three 12.16.16

Another week closer to the holidays, and our pets deserve a treat for always being in the holiday spirit. At least, that's how it feels when I've been working with treats all week. There's been some really nifty ones, and it might be worth springing a little bit of extra cash to reward your furry friend this season.
First I worked with Stella & Chewy treats-the company actually has a really neat backstory about a dog (Chewy) who needed extra-special health care after they were adopted. He was fed a raw-meat diet at the vet's recommendation and recovered wonderfully. Stella & Chewy's goal is to make treats as close to nature as possible to maximize pet health, and also to make raw foods more accessible to pets who have similar needs as Chewy did. Right now I'm particularly referring to their Carnivore Crunch Freeze-Dried Chicken Treats. This comes as a bundle, which is great for those who like to stock up-the less we have to drive in snowy weather, the better, after all. It includes three packs and is made with cage-free chicken. Delicious and healthy for your pet, which is always a good thing.

This week I also worked with another one of Lazy Dog's pup-PIES. Maybe it sticks out because peanut butter banana is one of my favorite flavor combinations (if it were for humans, I'd say toss a few chocolate chips on there and it'd be perfect), or maybe just because I like the idea of giving pets their own versions of human desserts. It's always stood out as a cute idea to me. It also comes in slices, so you can give your pet a slice of the pie like you'd eat for yourself-just smaller and actually good for them.

Last I worked with some Joint Snacks from Pet Health Solutions. I think treats are an important part of bonding with your pet (though too many treats can be just as bad as none at all), and its nice to see ones that do the dual purpose of giving your pet a reward as well as the nutrients, or even medicine, they need to help them out. These snacks have a duck flavor and a joint supporting formula that includes Glucosamine, MSM, & Creatine.

Have a good week, and I'll try to have at least one thing that isn't treats on here next week for you (though treats are delicious and I want a slice of pie after looking at that pup-PIE again).
