Bri's Weekly Top Three 6.9.17

Posted by Briana Graber on

I was a bit surprised to see apricot and kiwi flavored dog treats this week.  It's something expected more of a fruit snacks pack, but after digging into it a bit more there are actually a lot of health benefits that can be had from this coconut based treat.  Coconut alone can "increase energy levels, improve skin and coat, improve digesion, and reduce allergic reactions" but apricot and kiwi both have their own set of benefits, providing fiber and vitamin that might otherwise be lacking in your pet's diet.  So as much as I want a fruit salad now, you might give these fruity dog treats a try for your canine companion.

Another treat, the one that actually prompted me to look into kiwi's benefits (fiber, potassium, and high vitamin C) as it popped up for a second time, is Isle of Dogs 100% natural treats that are designed to benefit a dog's skin and coat.  They're made right here in Wisconsin and utilize a mix of ingredients designed to maximize the health of your dogs skin and coat.

Last is a human-directed product with a pet-loving twist.  A mouse pad with the adorable faces of three little kittens peeping out at you...or in other words, a some peeping toms.  The art is from the artist Sue Hall and is permanently dye printed (meaning it's not iron on and it's fade resistant) on the polyester front of this mouse pad.  The back is neoprene and won't slip around as you move the mouse across its surface.  Best part (in my opinion, I'm accident-prone) is that it can easily be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

I'm back this week with exactly one more Easter item and then some random ones to follow in order to break the pattern.  It's April tomorrow, so if you haven't thought about Easter yet, now would be the time. We're starting off with an Easter basket full of all sorts of goodies for a dog.  I mean, [...]

The inadvertent theme of the week is toys!  I have a lot of them to share this week, and from big names too.  We've got KONG, Fluff & Tuff, as well as Omega Paw (which was a new one for me, I hadn't worked with their products much yet, they have some neat products).  Since I [...]

Pudgy Pets are a Problem

Not unto themselves, of course.  Our furry friends are pretty good at loving us unconditionally.  However, obesity and excess weight on pets can lead to a lot of health issues, shorten their life span, and lower their quality of life while they are with us.As much fun and joy it brings to us to spoil [...]

Another week closer to the holidays, and our pets deserve a treat for always being in the holiday spirit.  At least, that's how it feels when I've been working with treats all week.  There's been some really nifty ones, and it might be worth springing a little bit of extra cash to reward your furry [...]

Alright, so, surprisingly with the Christmas season so near, I actually worked with a fairly large variety of non-Christmas related products this week, and it looks like the pattern is going to keep up, so yay!  Though next week might be a little heavy on the treat end of things.I'm a big fan of dog [...]

Bri's (Belated) Weekly Top Three 11.29.16

Holiday weekend was excellent for everyone I hope.  I know I had an enjoyable time-got two hang out with four extremely lovely dogs this past weekend-a corgi, brittany, and a couple gorgeous pitties.  Wish I could've taken them home with me, but someone, probably several someones, would be upset if I had.  At any rate, [...]

Bri's Weekly Top Three 10.28.16

I shall bore you no more with pet costumes!  At least, not for a while yet.  This week I moved on to anything vaguely related to Thanksgiving, including pumpkin flavored treats, and Christmas items.  It's unbelievable how quickly this month passed, and suddenly I have a craving for turkey and stuffing.  It can wait, though, [...]
