Bri's Weekly Top Three 6.9.17

Posted by Briana Graber on

I was a bit surprised to see apricot and kiwi flavored dog treats this week.  It's something expected more of a fruit snacks pack, but after digging into it a bit more there are actually a lot of health benefits that can be had from this coconut based treat.  Coconut alone can "increase energy levels, improve skin and coat, improve digesion, and reduce allergic reactions" but apricot and kiwi both have their own set of benefits, providing fiber and vitamin that might otherwise be lacking in your pet's diet.  So as much as I want a fruit salad now, you might give these fruity dog treats a try for your canine companion.

Another treat, the one that actually prompted me to look into kiwi's benefits (fiber, potassium, and high vitamin C) as it popped up for a second time, is Isle of Dogs 100% natural treats that are designed to benefit a dog's skin and coat.  They're made right here in Wisconsin and utilize a mix of ingredients designed to maximize the health of your dogs skin and coat.

Last is a human-directed product with a pet-loving twist.  A mouse pad with the adorable faces of three little kittens peeping out at you...or in other words, a some peeping toms.  The art is from the artist Sue Hall and is permanently dye printed (meaning it's not iron on and it's fade resistant) on the polyester front of this mouse pad.  The back is neoprene and won't slip around as you move the mouse across its surface.  Best part (in my opinion, I'm accident-prone) is that it can easily be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
